Day 40 of 50 shades of lips is here and I am picking up SAFFRON GOSSIP from LAKME 9 TO 5 PRIMER + MATTE range. I have been lucky enough to get hold of most of the colors from Lakme 9 TO 5 PRIMER + MATTE range and thankfully I am quite impressed. Let’s apply this one and see how this one fares.
It’s a gorgeous shade of Orange. Slightly different because it doesn’t really make me look any darker than my actually complexion. The pigmentation is amazing. One gentle swipe on your lips is perfect to get the shade. Do not rub it else it might just look cakey. This entire range by LAKME has primer & matte finish. Primers are basically to make sure that the lipstick gives out the perfect color which is even and doesn’t settle in the fine lines of your lips. Primer also makes sure that the lips remain hydrated and lipstick doesn’t look chapped.
I would say SAFFRON GOSSIP from LAKME 9 TO 5 PRIMER + MATTE range is a must have orange but it has its own let down’s. This one settled in the fine lines of my lips and therefore made my lips look chapped, which they actually weren’t .It took around 10 minutes for this lippy to turn matte and it transferred quite a bit. The staying capacity is not more than 3 hours. And yes it does tend to make your lips dry after an hour or so… but It should be fine with a coat of lip balm.
It’s a bright color on your lips which is apt for your days as well as nights. SAFFRON GOSSIP from LAKME 9 TO 5 PRIMER + MATTE range has a very sweet fragrance which you will definitely not mind.
Priced at 400 INR, SAFFRON GOSSIP from LAKME 9 TO 5 PRIMER + MATTE is packaged in a rose gold colored metallic body. There is no color indication on the packaging of the lipstick which makes it quiet a task to identify the lipstick from the rest. The oval shape of the lipstick doesn’t allow me to make perfect edges at the corner of the lips (P.S I have Medium thin lips) though it can be managed.
My final words on SAFFRON GOSSIP from LAKME 9 TO 5 PRIMER + MATTE range has to be in favor of it since this is one the most beautiful oranges I have ever come across. This color works well for my Skin tone which is wheatish. Though I am not too sure about the Darker complexion !
